What this app is not
Every study page carries a scope note. This page is the long version, because the things a site like this cannot do are more important than the things it can.
It is not a coach
A coach watches you. This site draws one body, of about 1.70 metres, doing a shape the way its author understood the shape. It cannot see whether your level change comes from the legs or the back, whether your head is up, or whether your stance suits your body. The faults listed on each study are things to look for in a mirror or a video of yourself; they are not an assessment of you.
It is not a way to learn wrestling
Wrestling is learned against a person, from a person. Every study here is a solo rehearsal of something a coach has already shown. The single leg entry with nobody's leg in it teaches the shape of the first half-second and nothing about the fight that follows. The pages say so; it is not decoration.
The second figure is not a partner
Three positions are shown with a second figure so the geometry can be seen from every camera. The figure is static, does not resist and does not grip. Those pages say: illustration of position, not a partner technique to copy without a coach. That sentence is the most important one on the site.
It is not coach-verified
No qualified wrestling coach has reviewed a single frame of the animation, a single cue or a single number in the mechanical spec. The poses are authored to match published coaching principles and measured against ranges written down in the repository, and the ranges are the author's judgement where the principle is qualitative. That is stated on every spec file.
It is not a training plan
The boards are schedules for rehearsing shapes with work, rest and repeats you set yourself. The four-week progressions scale a session over weeks and say what to attend to. None of it knows your age, your training history, your season or your body. A coach does.
It is not medical, and it makes no safety promise
Nothing here diagnoses, treats or prevents anything. If something hurts, stop, and ask a coach or a clinician. The studies that go to the mat say to use a proper mat and a version a coach has shown you; that is the extent of the safety advice, and it is advice, not a guarantee.
It is not a rulebook
The studies are movement and say nothing about what scores or what is legal in your style. The rules primer says where the styles differ and stops there.
It is not connected to anything
There is no account, no server, no analytics and no federation, club or school behind it. Your data is in your browser and nowhere else, which is a privacy fact and a backup warning in one sentence.
What it is
A way to look closely at thirty-six shapes between sessions, put a practice on a clock, and write down what you noticed. That is the whole of it, and it is worth having if it is used for that.
